The opening festival

The grand Bauhaus Year 2019 will be inaugurated with a large-scale opening festival in Berlin. For one week, international artists from the fields of dance, theater and music will be devoting their attention to contemporary topics within the context of the Bauhaus’s performative inquiries.

Bauhaus in 360°

To mark the Bauhaus centenary, Interactive Media Foundation, a Berlin-based creative foundry, joined forces with Filmtank to develop the project BAUHAUS SPIRIT. Parts of the cross-media project will be on view at the 100 Years of Bauhaus opening festival in January 2019. We talked with Diana Schniedermeier, Director of the Interactive Media Foundation, about the spirit of the Bauhaus in our era of virtual realities.

When the doors of the opening festival open on 16th January 2019, the Bauhaus agent programme will also be present. During the entire festival there will be cinematic project documentations, audio plays and an artistic work on the topic space – stage – movement – light.

100 Jahre Bauhaus – Das Eröffnungskonzert
